Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Ninja Tech Solutions ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the CricLive mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide via sign-in
CricLive uses Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (via Firebase Authentication) to authenticate you. When you sign in, we receive:
- Your email address (or, if you use Apple's Hide My Email feature, the relay address Apple provides)
- Your display name
- A unique identifier from the sign-in provider (Firebase UID)
We do not receive your password, contacts, photos or any other profile information from your Google or Apple account.
2.2 Information generated through use
- The cricket groups you create or join, and your membership in them
- Match data you record while scoring (teams, players, balls, runs, wickets, results)
- Basic usage signals such as which match you're actively scoring, so the App can prevent two people scoring the same match simultaneously
- A short-lived authentication token used to keep you signed in
2.3 Information stored on your device
- A local cache of your groups, players, teams and matches so the App works offline
- Authentication tokens stored in your device's secure storage
2.4 What we do not collect
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
- We do not collect crash reports or telemetry beyond what is strictly required to operate the service
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
3. How we use your information
- To create and authenticate your account
- To let you join a group, score matches, and view stats with the people in your group
- To keep the service running reliably (for example, refreshing your session, preventing duplicate scoring)
- To respond to your support requests
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Sharing & disclosure
We share information only as needed to operate the App:
- With other members of your group. Your display name and the match data you record are visible to other members of cricket groups you have joined.
- With our service providers. See Third-party services below.
- If required by law. We may disclose information if compelled by a valid legal process under Indian law.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
5. Third-party services
CricLive relies on the following processors. They each have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data we send them:
- Google Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — verifies sign-in tokens. Privacy notice.
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — provides Google account login. Privacy policy.
- Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.) — provides Apple ID login. Privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services — hosts our backend infrastructure. Privacy notice.
6. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Match data is retained while the group you created it in remains active, so other members of your group can continue to use the historical record.
If you delete your account (see below), your personal data is removed immediately. Match data you contributed remains visible to your former group, but it is no longer linked to your name or account.
7. Account deletion
Open the menu drawer → Delete account → confirm.
When you delete your account, we immediately:
- Delete your account record (email, display name, Firebase UID)
- Revoke and delete all your authentication tokens
- Remove you from every group you had joined
- Delete your identity record from Firebase Authentication
What is not deleted: cricket match data, players, teams and grounds you contributed to your groups remain available to those groups, because that information is shared content owned by the group, not by an individual member. After deletion, this content is no longer linked to your name or any identifier you can be tracked by.
If you cannot access the App for any reason, you may also request deletion by emailing sanjeev@splito.co from the email address associated with your account. We will action the request within 30 days.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and equivalent laws where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Erase your personal data (see Account deletion)
- Withdraw consent by deleting your account
- Lodge a grievance with us, or with the Data Protection Board of India if your concern is not resolved
Our Grievance Officer is Sanjeev. To exercise any of these rights, write to sanjeev@splito.co. We aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Children's privacy
CricLive is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information:
- All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted with TLS
- Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android)
- Passwords are never collected — sign-in is delegated to Google or Apple
No system is perfectly secure. We will notify affected users and the relevant authorities promptly if a security incident is identified that puts your data at risk.
11. International transfers
Our infrastructure may process data in regions outside India (for example, AWS regions in the United States). When we transfer data internationally, we rely on the contractual safeguards offered by our service providers and require them to maintain at least the level of protection described in this Policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we make a material change, we will notify you in the App. Continued use after the change becomes effective indicates your acceptance.
